Interior Inspiration - Scandinavian Style

We just love Scandinavian interior design here at Lujo. The 'Scandi' style is crisp and clean - think white-upon-white, teamed with bold black or muted greys. Soften up the monochrome look with earthy tones and textures - think pale timber, leather and wool.

Light and lovely! The woven over-sized light shade ties together nicely with the designer chairs. A very soft grey on the walls makes for a warmer alternative to white.

Quintessentially Scandi! A bold monochrome palette, softened with plush accessories like the grey flokati rug and leather ottoman.

In interiors, black is the new black - modern, moody and sophisticated. Add dramatically deep greys or indigo/dark denim to keep things interesting. (We think one of our indoor bean bag ottomans - in graphite - would look trés chic here; in place of the chest.)

Monochrome doesn't have to mean monotone. This fun space plays with pattern and texture, rather than colour, for personality. We particularly love the two wall garlands, the string lights hanging from the old wooden ladder, and the use of a sheepskin as a good-looking throw.

Like a lived-in, understated style? Marry vintage and rustic pieces with a clean and modern backdrop, like this space does so successfully. (We'd love to see one of our soft grey beanbag chairs here.)

Some great decorating ideas in this Stockholm kitchen. The striped rug and statement light both kick up the style factor in this space, we love the chalkboard feature wall (equally good for shopping lists and words of inspiration!), and the honey-toned timber bench-top keeps all the white from looking too cold.

That gallery wall is gorgeous! This sweet little living area combines Scandinavian style and boho chic to beautiful effect, thanks to that ethnic rug, cushions and the soft leather ottoman.
